Immediate decoding ! Education to mass media : decoding the information in the printing press and on television

This action was implemented with two 2nd year S.E.G.P.A. classes in 2001-2002 and 2002-2003. It articulates around two axes. The first one is a journalistic writing project for Cartable (quarterly addition to the daily newspaper Le Républicain Lorrain, written by pupils). To be successful, this project was preceded by a seven-week period to discover this regional newspaper (3 sessions a week). The second one is a ten-session period to learn how to decode the news on television. In both cases, we want to help the pupils understand how the written and broadcasted news are dealt with to place him in a position to produce these news. – ConclusionsAnnexarticle25L’expérithèque
